"We stay at this hotel for about a week every year during my children’s dance competitions, so after multiple stays I feel like I have a pretty good sense of the experience.
The biggest highlight is definitely the staff. Everyone is consistently friendly, and whenever we had requests or needed help, the response was always quick and accommodating. That level of service really makes a difference during a busy competition week.
I also really like the room layout. The design is simple, clean, and practical, with a very functional use of space. Having a microwave in every room is surprisingly convenient, especially when traveling with kids and long competition schedules.
The hotel gym was better equipped than I expected. It has a cable machine, a good range of dumbbells, and plenty of cardio equipment. The pool, however, is very small and can get crowded quickly.
For the lake-view rooms, the lake view is a bit farther away than I expected — you only see a small portion of the lake. That said, the mountain view is actually beautiful, and you can even see the famous “Penticton” sign on the hillside.
The Palmer restaurant inside the hotel was another pleasant surprise. The food was very good, and the steak was especially impressive.
Parking was easy as well, and there were plenty of EV charging spots available. The charging process was simple and straightforward.
Overall, we keep coming back every year, which says a lot."
