Boarders Inn & Suites by Cobblestone Hotels - Lamar

Boarders Inn & Suites by Cobblestone Hotels - Lamar

8/10 Good
"We got upgraded to a suite as the A/C in our first room needed work and I needed a room on the bottom floor. The suite was large and very clean. There was no dresser to put your clothes in, though there was a kitchenette with drawers so I guess you could put clothes there. There was also not a rod with hangers, which was strange, just 4 hooks like for jackets. The A/C was tricky. I set it to 67 degrees and it worked, but there was no option for a continuous fan (I like the white noise to sleep by) so we ended up buying a fan at Walmart. Also, I set the fan to OFF, but it ran anyway. The bathroom was large with a bathtub/shower combination. The tub was equipped with water jets, but I never used those. The staff was excellent. The breakfast was very good; eggs, link sausage, biscuits and gravy, There was cereal, fresh fruit, and waffles you could make, along with coffee, tea, and decaf coffee."

Hot tub, Kayaks, game room, on Stockton Lake!

10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely loved our stay! This was easily one of the best vacations we’ve ever had. The house was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room for our family. We’ve stayed at tons of properties, and we’ve never had one that was stocked so thoughtfully. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, and there were plenty of towels for everyone for the entire week. We loved the little extras too, like the s’mores kit and coffee maker that accommodated both K-cups and traditional coffee. We spent virtually every moment of daylight at the lake fishing, playing catch, floating, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings and beautiful sunsets. Stockton Lake is absolutely beautiful, and we especially loved the undeveloped shoreline and lack of heavy boat and jet ski traffic. It really felt like a peaceful escape into nature. The walk to the lake is beautiful, although the walk back up while carrying all your gear is definitely a workout! At night, the climate-controlled recreation room was perfect for pool, darts and poker. The hot tub was also amazing, even in the August heat! We even tried the pellet grill for the first time and made some incredible burgers. We loved seeing the cows and wild turkeys next door, too. Everything about this stay was clean, comfortable and well thought out. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it. 10/10 without hesitation!"
