  • We travelled from Ullapool through a snow storm in the dark for to photograph sunrise at Ardvreck Castle. The castle is situated on the banks Loch Assynt and it was only a short walk from the car park to get this shot which was actually after the sun as rise but I just love the way the cloud is just at the top of the castle in this picture. A truly magical place well worth a visit. #Instone #castle #ruin #snow #scotland

The best Hostel ever !

The guesthouse and the host, Brian, were great. Due to a booking error, I was able to book the accommodation even though they were closed. Brian still gave us a warm welcome and upgraded our room free of charge. He gave us tips for a good restaurant and even made a reservation for us! The breakfast was delicious and lovingly prepared. We would definitely recommend this hostel; it was simply fantastic!
