From our typical Swedish red-and-white holiday villa Stallhuset, you will experience the proverbial Scandinavian peace and quiet without having to stay in the middle of nowhere and compromising on comfort! The 6-person house is located in Värmland (also known as Sweden's sunniest region) on the outskirts of the village of Storfors within walking distance of the marina and the (swimming) lakes surrounding this small rural community that is also called Värmland's biggest island! Located along a dirt road with clear views, the house offers you beautiful sunsets from the generous veranda. The railway line located further opposite the house does not cause any noise pollution with only very occasional passing characteristic goods trains (logs!) or old-fashioned passenger trains stopping briefly at the idyllic little station. From the house, you walk to one of the two supermarkets in the village to get fresh rolls, which you then enjoy at the picnic table in the spacious garden, which offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor living! In the quiet village of Storfors you will find, among other things, a pharmacy, doctor, dentist, 2 supermarkets, 2 pizzerias, a flower shop, library, cinema and ATM. Please note that pets are not allowed in our holiday home. Smoking prohibited. Arrival from 15.00 hrs, departure no later than 11.00 hrs.
Description holiday villa Stallhuset: hall/entrance with coat rack and shoe rack fully equipped living room with TV (no connection to antenna or dish but chromecast & HDMI connection for laptop to watch e.g. downloaded films), CD and DVD player kitchen with dining table and 6 dining chairs, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, electric cooker, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, Samsung washer/dryer combination, Senseo coffee machine, coffee machine, kettle, blender, gourmet set, iron, clothes drying rack, hoover 3 bedrooms upstairs, one with double bed and two with two single beds, all rooms have ample wardrobe space bathroom downstairs with shower and washbasin with vanity unit separate toilet Bed linen, bath linen and kitchen linen can be booked for an additional fee.

From Storfors there are endless hiking or cycling trips to be made. The central location makes it easy to visit the larger towns Kristinehamn (20 min), Filipstad (15 min) and Karlskoga (20 min) and the university towns Karlstad (50 min) and Örebro (60 min). But also closer by, there are plenty of sights to see and trips to e.g. the beaches with swimming jetties on the Mögsjön (2 km), the locks of Bjurbäcken (10 km) or the recreational park of Lunedet (18 km). In the winter season, you will find ski slopes in Filipstad (15 min), Ånnaboda (45 min) and the extensive Säfsen ski station in Fredriksberg (70 min).
