Nice and friendly

We enjoyed our stay at Serenity Retreat. We are a family of 5 with relatively little children, so it was an extremely large estate, actually suitable for 9, with an equipped kitchen (no dishwasher). The children loved their bunk beds and the owners' dog. The owner was very kind, friendly and helpful. The area is very nice with a lot of opportunities for hiking.

O anfitrião extremamente gentil e atencioso. Precisava de um ventilador pelo menos no quarto pois no começo da noite o quarto fica muito quente devido sol do dia inteiro.

Do you like bugs? The two main things that I look for when searching for lodging is safety/security and cleanliness. We stayed in eight places during our three week holiday road trip, mostly no frills backpacker places, and this was the only place that just wasn't clean. A cockroach jumped at me from the curtain, bugs were in the bed, and more were stuck in the old carpet. Linens were very worn. The guy who runs the place is very nice, though. For our fourth visit to Storms River, this was the only place we could find during peak holiday season but would stay elsewhere for any future visits.
