"Weather hot, but you shouldn't have to ring reception for a top sheet, quilt was heavy. Put sheet in rooms so you don't have to use energy sapping air con."

"Well located right in the Market Square. Very old but beautifully appointed with all the modern conveniences including a robust WiFi and massive free-standing tub n shower. We were on an upper floor and getting there (with luggage) was challenging. The host escorted us (and helped with the bags) the first time up, as the route is quite convoluted. Pub and dining were also excellent. Would stay there again. Nothing to do with the Stag, but Uber may not come to Stow-on-the-Wold. (They didn’t for us as we planned to leave. Host suggested bus to train and trains to destination)"

"Beautiful spacious rooms, lovely views and a lovely place to say. The only thing I can say is that the kids bed was a double not 2 singles and couldn’t be separated and 2 boys weren’t happy about that but we managed and it was beautiful."

"Parking was great and fairly secure. Floors are uneven everywhere. Shower stall was low step in - terrific - and appeared fairly new. Steps to go everywhere. No air conditioning."

"Excellent position for all attractions. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Hotel undergoing extension and renovation. This is affecting cleanliness and ease of access. Very comfortable accommodation with good quality mattresses and bed linen."

"Great historic inn modernized beautifully. Delicious English breakfast. Wonderful staff. A/C didn’t really work in the room, which made sleeping a tad problematic, but overall we enjoyed the stay!"

"Stayed here many times over the years. Great location, character building, friendly staff, superb breakfast, easy parking. Tempered on this particular occasion by ineffective room air conditioning and a dog basket & dirty glasses to greet us outside the room on arrival. Hopefully these points will get sorted soon."
