"This property may have been okay for an overnight or maybe two but lacked a lot of the necessities needed for period of time. Shower was a challenge. Unable to communicate with the host do to a country cell phone difference. No WiFi, etc…"

"The cottage is an absolute delight and beautifully appointed. Everything was perfect and it is so tastefully decorated. We loved our week long stay. The surrounding area is wonderful to explore and there is plenty of good information in the cottage for walking and touring. "

"Beautiful location with lovely, comfortable accomodation. The night staff were very friendly, accomodation and helpful on our arrival. We felt very welcome. However the day time reception staff were quite abrupt and rude not only to us but we watched a few other guests get 'told off' for petty things. Was rather unfortunate to witness. It spoilt the mood immediately. The lounge area was so relaxing with gorgeous views. The pool area was nice and clean but the floors are quite smooth and slippy!"

"Fantastic Experience. Really enjoyed having access to the castle grounds in the evenings. Will remember this stay for a long time."

"Beautiful secluded cottage in a quiet area, house was clean & tidy. Very spacious and we enjoyed our stay. Only negatives were the mattresses in the bedrooms were rock hard, owner needs to invest in a good mattress topper especially if staying more than 2 nights. No communication from the host beforehand & no bin bags or dish cloth to use on our first night. Otherwise all ok feedback! "

"Great location,sea view to the front of the property, rolling hills and countryside to the rear.Nearest shops 10 minute drive away.The property itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay.Some reviews commented that it could do with an upgrade but as it is it has its own quirky charm and character.The owner was very helpful and is only a phonecall away if any problems arise.Overall Braemar is the Ideal place to stay if you want to get away from it all and just relax.Pet friendly too,...

"A really tremendous location with a 200 acre estate to explore. Super walks without ever leaving the estate. Short drive to the beach, approx 10 min drive to small local supermarket or about 25 min drive to larger stores in Ayr."
