Owners were really friendly and helpful and the breakfast options were great and tasty. It's not walking distance to any evening food options, so you will need a car if staying there, but Sudbury is only 10 minutes away. "

"We had a great time at Rectory Manor, a lovely old georgian country house set in mature garden of trees and lawn with a swimming pool and tennis court if you want some exercise. Our room (the Hudson) was furnished in the country house style and was supremely comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom was a bit small and slightly dated. The bath was too small to properly soak. On the plus side we had an unexpected balcony that caught the morning sun whilst giving beautiful country views across the garden to a field and trees beyond. The rookery in the garden made for a noisy backdrop but if you don't mind the sound of rooks cawing then it is a perfect place to sit and read, have a coffee and relax."

"Room smelt of cigarette smoke. Bathroom appeared clearn at first glance but there were lots of hairs on the floor and around the toilet. Shower temperature was erratic. No convenient plug sockets to dry hair."
