The Silver Raven is a private two story home with a new 750’ sq. ft. wraparound deck. The house sets on two rolling acres with 350’ of ocean bay waterfront.
FIRST FLOOR
The first floor has a large kitchen complete with dishes, flatware, a variety of glassware, serving pieces, pots, pans and cooking utensils. A lobster pot is provided if you want the total Maine experience.
A full bathroom with a shower is located on this floor. Towels, toilet tissue, shower gel, shampoo, and hair conditioner are also provided.
The formal dining room where you can enjoy main meals has two French doors leading to the sunroom that overlooks the property and the bay. It has a table and four chairs for breakfast, snacks, or games.
An additional office space with a sofa bed, desk and 42” wall mounted television is located off the dining room.
The large living room features a sofa, three chairs, two foot stools and a 50” television. WiFi is available throughout the house. A French door leads to the outdoor deck.
SECOND FLOOR
The second floor features 2 large bedrooms with queen beds, a full bathroom with shower. Towels, toilet tissue, shower gel, shampoo, and hair conditioner are provided. There is a washer and dryer located in this large bathroom. The master bedroom has a private 8’ X 16’ deck with a table and chairs for morning coffee, or just relaxing. A loft area overlooks the living room.
THE DECK
On the deck you will find six Adirondack chairs to relax with morning coffee or evening drinks. It’s also a great place to read, or enjoy the fabulous sunsets and the star filled evening sky. A gas grill is also provided.
THE SHORE
Enjoy the view of Taunton Bay morning, noon, or night. In the morning you may see lobstermen placing or checking their traps. There’s also a chance you’ll see our harbor seals, eagles, and other wildlife. A picnic table is available for you. At dusk can witness some of the most spectacular sunsets as you convene around the fire pit.
SURROUNDING AREA
This home is locate central to many places and points of interest. Down the road you can visit the Granite Gallery and see the vast collection of sculptures and other creations fabricated from granite. It’s on the site of one of many granite quarries in the area.
If you head north on Hwy. 1 you can visit Schoodic Point (also a part of Acadia National Park, with less visitors). You’ll be able to walk out on the granite cliffs and taste the salt spray as the surf hits the cliffs. It’s also a wonderful spot picnic or hike.
Heading about 20 minutes south on Hwy. 1 you can visit the town of Ellsworth where you can dine and shop with the locals. There’s grocery stores to restaurants, shops and everything in between. The LL Bean outlet is there, too.
You’re about 30 minutes from Mt. Desert Island where Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, and Northeast and Southwest Harbors are located. Take the scenic ride down Sargent Drive for another breathtaking experience.
