Pool was gorgeous. Everything was as described except I couldn't help but feel like although everything 'looked' right, fixtures and fittings were a bit low in quality. Eg bathroom door didn't close, nowhere to hang towels for 2 guests (other than one towel rail for one towel), no slippers, worn/tired toiletries in the bathroom, bedding wasn't very comfortable and no pillow menu. With that said, the overall ambience and aesthetic is nice - it's just when you really look at things you notice these smaller things. I'll finish where I started - the pool is gorgeous. Plenty of space on daybeds and sufficient shade for a poolside hang. I would come back at the right price.

Essence is a beautiful new high-quality property in the heart of Peregian Beach. I was originally booked into a lovely, spacious double room with a balcony overlooking the biosphere before being upgraded to a two room apartment with full kitchen and laundry facilities and a large balcony overlooking the biosphere. The rooms are all spacious with top quality fittings and fixtures. Beds are very comfortable and a range of different pillows are provided. Evening turn down with handmade chocolates was a nice surprise and a courtesy bottle of sparkling wine on the first day was a lovely touch. Undercover parking is available. There are two heated pools (one with a bar) with beds and umbrellas to choose from and these are nice even though the white sandy Peregian Beach is just few minutes walk away. The boutique shopping nearby offers a wide range of gifts and fashion items and there are pubs, cafes, pizza and fine dining options. There is a surf club, skate park for kids and parks near the beach too. If you want peace and quiet and a chance to unwind then Essence Boutique Hotel itself is a lovely place to do this.

Modern, stylish. clean and a nice pool area/bar (although not many seats). Extensive minibar selection (if you like that) of quality products, and nice teabags etc. Bed was nice but a bit hard (a topper would make it perfect). Great gym for a small property. Good location with a bush outlook but behind IGA/chemist etc and cafe. Close to great pub and restaurants. Although not near the beach it is walkable. Only negatives - a very tricky aircon (turns off all the time including during night when it was cold, if you open door, leave room for 15 mins etc and then you have to wait on standby for 30 mins till it starts again. And that when we reported this got quite a snooty response from Manager (it was our stupidity basically and she had 'fixed' it) Then it went of or changed its temp by itself during night again and we ended up stifling! Front desk girls otherwise great.

We had an amazing stay at Essence Hotel! The room was beautiful, spotless, and had a modern bathroom with great products. Check-in was smooth — reception even waited for us to arrive as we were running a bit late, which was so thoughtful. Car parking was easy to access, and the hotel is in a lovely area with an easy bus ride or short drive into town. The homemade biscuits and friendship bracelets were such a sweet personal touch, and the reception team gave fantastic recommendations for things to do nearby. The only small improvement would be adding some wardrobe space, as we ended up living out of our suitcases. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended!

Gear accommodation with great facilities. The service was good. Location was excellent with walkable beach and shopping options. Didn't really get the afternoon turn down, also the cooling system was finicky at times. All bar items were excessive in pricing and there wasn't a smoking area anywhere. Service could have been better but could be worse too. Overall a Good place.

Great location

Great location for a mellow weekend away. Pool area extremely limited in terms of accomodating those who might want to use it.

A wonderful stay - just wish it had been longer. The 2 bedroom apartment was brilliant - spacious, well equipped and great bathrooms. The staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. The pool area is great and the bar an extra attraction. Could not recommend it more highly

Lovely location but just missing something

There are no wardrobes to hang clothes so if you are a couple with no kids and only wanting a single room be prepared to have suit cases and clothes spread over your room if you are staying more than a wekend And not enough seating around pool with 50 appartments and 7 lounges around pool
