DAKU ISLAND in SIARGAO, Philippines is one of the stops on the islands tour which includes the islands of GUYAM, NAKED and DAKU and is usually the last and furthest stop although still only about 20 mins by boat from the dock in General Luna. There are various tour operators and hotels that provide tours but it is also possible to just turn up at the dock and get a local boatman to take you for P1500 (£21.42) which saves planning ahead and also gives you the option of changing the island order to avoid bad weather or crowds for example.

"I was accommodated in the interior part of the homestay where there’s a kitchen that I think it doesn’t used it anymore. I would always pass by a lot of big basins and empty Gallons scattered and an empty mineral water bottles which accordingly, the owner doesn’t want to disposed it. There’s a dog tied up in front of my door. I charge my phone outside of my room, coz the outlet doesn’t work. There’s a lot of mosquitoes inside my room. "All personal working there do what they can and are very ambitionatet. But the management seems not to care much about the conditions. Compare the price of BS2 with other accommodations (even half-price accommodations in that area), BS2 should learn a lot from their competitors - especially regarding tidiness. Unbelievable is the smell of the water there - and in the kitchen which belongs to our apartment, I stepped in contact with the most hugest cockroaches I ever have seen in my live. ......
