"I am struggling with my rating. It was our second stay - the staff are all lovely and helpful, the breakfast is good, hotel feels fairly priced. It’s older and not overly accessible with the smalll lift. However on our most recent stay, we found bed bugs in our bed on our second night. We told the staff in the morning after getting next to no sleep, and they were extremely helpful and our belongings and the room were fumigated. However as a result we then had to buy two days worth of new clothes for us and our kid, we had almost none of our belongings for 2 days, and then an expensive laundromat trip. Thankfully we were staying for two weeks and were able to be around for the treatment. They refunded our breakfasts but none of the room amounts, which again was nice, but for the amount of stress it caused in our journey in hindsight I don’t feel it was enough. We were too tired to fight it. So a long review to say - the staff are really helpful, the manager Tom is really kind and proactive, but beware of bed bugs."
