"Ballys in Baton Rouge is a newer/remodeled hotel. There is still some construction going on, which I didn’t mind, I was nosey and asked what things were being done and the staff happily told me. This property does not have a pool, just fyi. It’s literally 2 blocks from the Raising Canes River Center, which is why I booked here. I had tickets to see Katt Williams, so I drove all the way from Texas to see him. The staff was great! Immediately upon pulling up to the property, the valet drivers and other staff assisting new guests were friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze and the front desk staff was professionally humorous and made me and my friends feel welcomed. There is currently a small bar and they have a food/coffee area just off the entrance that has pretty good light snacks and meals (salads, sandwiches, desserts), which was nice because we were on limited time and got to grab some food. PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES ARE AMAZING!!! :) The rooms are nice and my friends loved the pillows and said the beds were comfy. I have neck and back problems, so I’m never comfortable but I trust my friends when they raved about the comfort qualities. If there is one thing I could offer as a suggestion to the hotel, it would be this: You need at least ONE MORE mirror in the rooms! Having just the one in the bathroom ain’t cutting it! Lol Mirror mirror on the wall….oh wait, there isn’t one. :( Lol Otherwise, Ballys was great, and I’d definitely recommend it! "

"Property was clean. Hallways are super hot!!’ The rooms were stuffy and hot upon arrival. The air hadn’t been turned on prior to our arrival. Other than that, everything was great. The water pressure is amazing and the freezer actually freezes! The room stayed extra cold once the air was turned on. Housekeeping actually tried to enter my room before checkout! They knocked then immediately opened my door without waiting for a response first. Luckily the latch was on the door so they couldn’t enter. They then tried to enter again after 11 but I had to remind them that we had late checkout at noon. "
