I lived in England most of my life and never even knew this place existed. Researching some National Trust properties to visit discovered this hotel associated with Waddesdon Manor. What a gem of a find! We only stayed one night but could, and should, have stayed longer. The location is excellent and a short easy walk just across the fields to Waddesdon Manor which is a must visit in my view. The rooms are comfortable, staff were excellent, friendly and efficient, and I completely recommend...

Great stay for luton airport

The building was over 400 years old. Wonderful charm.

Lovely stay all around!

Lovely quaint village and country pub, was given a warm welcome on arrival. There are only 4 rooms in a separate block across the car park from the pub (no more than 20 yards away). The evening meal was excellent (calamari starter and pulled pork burger main) with good real ale. Topped off by an impressive breakfast - selection of cereals, fruit and yoghurt then a choice of various cooked options.

We felt safe and secure we had an amazing stay.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable! Our room (#8) had a door that opened directly to the car park which made it super easy to load and unload luggage as well as easy access to walk the dog. The shower was a bit tricky to figure out but worked perfectly once sorted. Staff was super, friendly and helpful. We were disappointed that the kitchen was closed the night we arrived so dinner was peanuts and cocktails but it was still ok! The breakfast was freshly prepared...

Our stay at the Lion was excellent. The only complaint was that the door to our room wouldn't lock, but other than that everything was great. I would definitely stay there again. Great location for shopping at Bicester Village and a short drive to Bleinheim Palace.

They have ac on the rooms where you can change the temperatures. The restaurants around are also great and if you need to use transportation I recommend using A1 Taxi for budget transportation. Overall the workers are nice and if you ever need anything they will help with open arms!

I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed our stay at the Nags Head. We had a wonderful time exploring Great Missenden (very easy to walk to from the Inn) & the countryside. The train into London was so easy. Our room was peaceful and a great place to come back to after a long day. The room was quiet and a a haven to get away from it all. And the breakfasts! We tried the Full English which is certainly a treat. Definitely try the fish & chips for dinner…so good!! If you want to have a true English...

This was the most fun stay I’ve ever had. Yes, the property is old but what character it has!! When I first arrived in the pub and checked in at the bar, I was greeted with such wonderful enthusiasm from the patrons and hospitality from the staff! I felt at home immediately. In fact, two of the patrons, older gentlemen, helped me carry my luggage, which included a large, heavy suitcase, up the VERY steep stairs. Nevertheless, despite very minor inconveniences, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at...

The shower had some remedial work to the tiles and had mastic smeared along the joints, black mould had started to accumulate The staff especially Acer and Gavin were exceptional, nothing was too much, they are a credit to your team

Staff were excellent. Will definitely stay here again.

Either refurbished or brand new, a very nice and clean room, and no noise, plenty of parking

Absolutely lovely spot to stay, eat and drink. The people were incredibly nice. Very close to Bicester North train station and bus stop. 15-20 walk to shops at Bicester Village. Breakfast was completely awesome. Thank you!
