Loved the art deco ambience. Check in easy, offer to carry my bags up the stairs much appreciated, the free drink and meal discount persuaded me to eat-in and have an earlier night. With trains so convenient I will be back, rather than stay in town with much more exorbitant prices.

The hotel is charming inside and a pleasant place to be. Although it's right next to the highway and the railway line, noise was not a problem (double glazing). The room was well set up and comfortable bed.

Really enjoyed the renovated rooms and all the facilities and amenities available. Would recommend the accommodation and the staff were friendly and efficient. Close to transport and dining options. A good place to stay.

Old traditional hotel on a busy throughfare. Although renovated it still has an old feel. Meals and drinks in-house and reasonably pub quality.

Easy access to the city

The hotel is close to the tran station, so easy access to the city. Room was small and no table to sit at to work. Bed was too soft for me, but will be fine for others. The room was clean.

Nice hotel - NOT for guest with Disabilities

no information indicated to get to the lobby ( 3 external stone steps) & there is 1+1/2 stair well to get to the room upsatairs. I have requested "no steps/ stairs and room to be on lobby level which is what I always requested when I search and book my room. I have had double knee replacements & low vision blindness. The hotel has no cancel policy and I couldn't cancel when I arrived at the hotel. Very comfortable room but NOT for guest with disabilities!!! I struggled going up to the room and nearly fell down twice down the stairs. Te check in receptionist helped us carry our luggage on check in but we had to carry our luggage upon checkout
