Too noisy be far. The beds shook constantly at any slight movement so it was like trying to sleep in a loud earthquake. Made sleep almost impossible. The location is good as it’s around Chinatown and the central business district in Sydney, however for a backpacker looking for mates this isn’t worth a stopover at all. Better places around the rocks area in sydney

No mention of the lack of lifts in the property, nor of the shared bathroom. I am a single parent travelling Australia with two kids and we arrived with 3 large cases and 3 small only to be told there was no lift and we were on the 3rd floor. The room was basic but clean, but there was no bathroom and my kids didn't feel safe going to the toilet in the night. Very loud music from the pub below all night and the windows were so poor that we could hear street traffic and the crossing beeping outside. Then the fire alarm went off at 2am so we had to evacuate. No staff presence to explain what was going on or to let us know it was safe to go back into the building. The next morning I had to carry 6 cases down all the stairs which was not fun! Not the best experience sadly and I felt misled by the Hotels.com listing which did not specify that there was no lift and a shared bathroom.

Lovely old building in between skyscrapers, under renovation so dusty but not yucky. Steps sucked with big cases, noisy street but very convenient to central train station, parks etc nearby. For price not too bad, pub below does good food too.

센트럴역에서 도보로 10분이내에위치해있어서 찾기도쉽고 시티여행하기 굉장히 편리했어요 다만 우리나라로치면4층인방까지 매일오르락내리락하니 저절로 운동이 되더라고요 대로변이라 밤에 소음이 심해 예민하신분들은 비추예요 대신 늦게까지 시티에서 놀수있고 달링하버 패디스마켓등 가까워 좋았어요

I been staying in this hostel serevel time there is no early check in the room only ready after 2 pm and there is no kitchen where you can cook your own how ever this hostel is clean and the staff very friendly always willing to help if you need help. I will stay again next time

It was in very poor condition. Hot, stuffy and smelly with no air con. The carpets were gross and sticky, shared bathroom not prepared to go barefoot in, room walls damaged and dirty. Mattresses were concave and beds off putting. Dingy and gross. I packed up my kids and left immediately and went to a beautiful hotel, only $40 more than this dive. The manager would not refund my money at the time, and Wotif could/would not give me a refund either. No, no, no!

Good for budget stay

Location is good, near train central station. Just for a short stay, in single room. You get what you pay for. Staff are helpful. The building is old. 2 out of 3 windows can not be open or closed. But overall is a good budget choice.

A great Hostel, a bit dated but clean. Right in the centre of Sydney, walking distance to everywhere, pubs, clubs, shopping ....brill Spitting distance to the Train station and 20 mins to the Airport. Friendly Staff .... NO LIFT but who cares. The only bad point is the guests have to keep the kitchen clean, some do some don't ...to all those who did not Shame on you..Deffo book again, not good for familys but good for backpackers and solo travelers a cheap night stay
