"We arrived much later than we anticipated, but we were still given a welcome check-in and I was happy with how clean the rooms were and how comfortable the beds were. I also appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the complimentary breakfast was great too! I will definitely stay here again!"

"Arrived late after moving my daughter all day, the lobby smelled amazing when I first arrived. Super clean room and loved the Dove amenities in the bathroom. The night and morning staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Will defiantly stay again in the future; glad I found this place."

Storybook Cottage on Lay Lake with Kayaks!

"This cottage was wonderful. Upon arrival everything was perfect. Dayna checked in with us to assure that we had safely arrived. We travel a week each month year around. The cottage was probably the best so far. Nicely decorated for a rustic feel. The cottage has two large app based TV's, one in a windowed sitting area, and one in the bedroom. My wife enjoyed and utilized the washer and dryer. The kitchen had everything needed and was very well apportioned. It is warm in the south in July. The cottage A/C worked great ! The cottage sits on Lay Lake which is a small off shoot of the pristine Coosa River. We were provided kayaks and paddle boards which we used several times. The cottage sits in a small cottage community. Heavily wooded, the surrounding cottages are hardly noticeable. We met several neighbors who were very nice. We drove a short distance to Lake Howard which has very nice hiking and biking trails and kayaks for use on the 180 acre lake in the Talladega National Forest. The town of Sylacauga had a Publix grocery store and shopping. One day we drove up to Oak Mountain State Park, about an hour away, and spent the day in arguably the best hiking/biking area in the south. Overall a great week. We hope to return during cooler weather for another great week."
