"The room was nice, spacious enough, with a fan that did the job at keeping you cool. Housekeeping came to clean the rooms every day, the toilet and shower were good and maintained! The staff were lovely and accommodating, very helpful and attentive to any questions we had. There is a supermarket a short bus ride away or a less than 5 min car drive- a bit too far to walk in the heat though. There isn’t really much around in terms of dining options so we made food our selves. The view is beautiful as the bungalows look straight out to the sea with a nice breeze blowing through, you can walk a little along the beach and the pool was nice and pretty clean. They have lots of dogs which are cute but did obviously bark some nights and they like to sit on the balconies with you. We had a lovely stay, super chill and relax enjoying the sun!"

Villa Mitirapa

"Overall a nice place to stay with a few caveats. Easy check-in with the keys on the counter and quick response by email. We stayed in Aura where two rooms have AC and one does not - was not a problem for our stay. The third room has a fan. The rooms have plenty of open shelf space for clothes.The deck overlooking the lagoon and private pool were favorites. There was a nice breeze during our stay. Bring bug spray though (as with most places on island). It would have been nice to have hand towels and wash clothes, not just bath and beach towels. Also, some hooks in the bedroom to hang up towels or clothes. The shower has body wash and shampoo; some shelves for personal washing supplies would be helpful. There was a lot of roof noise one particular night from what we think were birds collecting seeds from the tree overhead. Our neighbors didn't have the same foilage so this may be specific to our Villa. It bothered some of us more than others, so if you are a light sleeper, the islands of Tahiti in general can be noisy with dogs, roosters and other wildlife. The WiFi worked well but we had to request the password. This proved difficulty since we had spotty personal service. There were chocolates left for us at check-in which was a nice welcome. "The VIP dinner at the Villa was fantastic for all! We had 3 Adult kids with us and they raved about it. The restaurant selections recommended by our hosts were spot on! Great food! We cooked breakfast most mornings, did lunch when we were out to Moorea, and dinner out mostly: Blue Banana, Le petite Bohème, Le Grillardon. We went out on the water with “JC Carlier” and did skimming under the water behind the boat ! Great fun! Saw the marina and snorkeled, went to the beach, adventure park, and some hiking, great weather, (rained 1/2 day x2 in 12 days!) Don’t forget to buy bug spray ! Great vacation!"

Teahupoo: beachfront, the lagoon and the wave, at the foot of the mountains !

"The property was even more beautiful than the photos! We loved listening to the waves as we were going to sleep and opening our eyes to the ocean that's a very short distance away. What a treat!The way the house was built, kept it cool during the day so the temperatures were very comfortable during our entire stay. The spacious porch facing the lagoon provided beautiful views and plenty of outdoor dining. The house was well stocked with spices, coffee and oil, which was very helpful. The hosts were great. They are the most gracious and accommodating owners we've encountered on VRBO. The coconut they prepared and provided was much appreciated as well as the delicious honey from their own bee hives. They provided a lot of helpful information about the surrounding area for hiking, biking and water sports. We were guided on a beautiful hike that we took directly from the house. We saw two waterfalls, several swimming holes, eels, fish and more! We can't put into words the beauty of these mountains. We also kayaked in the tandem daily and enjoyed viewing the corals and many brightly colored fish. We highly recommend this rental property and can't wait to return!"

"Very clean and new property. Light and airy. Paddleboards and kayak to get to small swimming beach were nice. Bit warm with only air conditioning in master suite."
