"This is a much older place. Not impressive, but the overall condition on the rooms and property are very good. The staff is outstanding! Helpful and courteous. We felt very comfortable and welcomed! Rooms and bathroom are very clean!!! If someone smokes, there’s private balconies on the 2nd floor to stand out, without having to go to the court yard. We went to Gasparilla Beach. Had a great day relaxing. Water was the perfect temperature, combined with a consistent cool breeze, and private. I highly recommend Boca Grade Hotel for a pleasant and safe stay. "

"This is a very well-equipped and well-maintained house on Little Gasparilla Island. Our family of 11 truly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the use of the golf cart, which was a huge help getting back and forth from the boat."

"This home has a beautiful and nicely decorated porch that over looks the bayside. Great for morning coffee of dinner in the evening. The size of the house was perfect for my family and myself. It was a very short walk to the ocean and a super fast walk to the dock. There wasn't a diswasher in this home. Paper plates are helpful espcially if you have a family and do not want to wash tons of dishes. Kitchen didn't have some cooking tools that were needed. (measuring cups etc) If you need chairs for the beach you will have to bring them. The house says chairs, but only has one. One shower didn't have a shower head and only dripped water. "

"The Salty Mermaid is a great place to stay on Little Gasparilla! It was exceptionally clean and very well appointed. The 3 bedrooms all had comfy beds and sheets. The bathrooms were nice and clean, and the showers were stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There were a lot of towels in the house, but if you use them all, there is a washer and dryer included. There is a dining room with a table that seats 6 people. The couch / TV room is comfy and spacy. The TV appears to be 70 inches, and had subscriptions to most major streaming providers. The kitchen was very nice. Well stocked and very nicely decorated. We cooked dinner most nights and enjoyed eating on the back deck. There are numerous outdoor seating options that are comfortable and well thought out. There's even a fire pit stocked with wood! I can't say enough good things about the Salty Mermaid. We'll definitely be back. One thing to know is that the house is elevated similar to most of the houses on the island, so you do climb steps to get up to the house. This was not a problem for our family, but is something to be aware of if any one in your party has difficulty with stairs. "
