  • Last night we went to a Taoist Temple in Taipei. You can see in the close up picture of people praying how they receive and answer immediately from the prayers. After kneeling and bowing, you throw two "stones" onto the floor. They are both crescent shaped with a sun and a moon side. If they end up both on one side, the answer is NO. If they end up both on the other side, the answer is maybe, or not enough information. If the end up like a ying and a yang, then the answer is YES. I took a moment to pray, asked my question and got a ying and a yang out of the throw. The belief is, that the result comes from within your own heart.

Considering we were stuck in the room for 24 hours due to a typhoon, and everything was closed, I really enjoyed being in this hotel because the room is very large, well equipped and it has a bathtub

Used to stay here under different name. Very clean room but the reception was kind of temporary set-up. Only considering the guest room, very enough and comfortable to stay but lots more improvements needed for the public spaces including elevator halls and the reception spaces.

The room was comfy and the staff were all helpful. The location was not easy or close to MRT stations so you have to be ready to walk 15ish mins from Zhongshan station.Or you should take bus from Taipei main station.

The room was spacious, and staff was helpful. Room was 4/5 clean, not dusty. But there was some mold on the walls and a little smelly. And the air conditioning unit needs an update. You need to hold the remote about an inch from the reveiver in the ceiling for the controller to work. And it either gets freezing cold or I have to turn it off. The bed was firm, nice they provide 2 pillows per bed. The windows and walls are not sound proof. So you will hear outside traffic and room next door.

Bab bathroom design

Bathroom design was bad. There was mirror on the wall facing the sink but there were shelves stick out in the middle of the mirror above the sink, right on front of our face. So, when using the sink, we had to stand on the side of the sink instead of at the sink. Shelves should be on the side away from the sink. Bath tub was too high - very dangerous to step in / out when taking shower or bath. Bathtub was too short so when taking shower, the water usually get out (end of the tub) onto the floor which would make the floor very wet in which causing safety concern when getting out of the very high bathtub.
