Very convenient to get on public transport to everywhere
Air conditioning is via duct and it was hardly working, but that was the least of my worries. The staff were friendly and tried to help me after me checking out right on the spot but I couldn't handle the condition of the property. The room overall looks very worn down, might be ok for a day or two but you can feel the unease once you're in the room. The mattress felt very old, bed sheets were dirty and had holes in them. Only disposable towels provided for showering. If you rate location over cleanliness then you can make an argument for staying but I wouldn't
I have been staying in Taipei Station for multiple trips and this is the most spacious room I have ever stayed and the prices compared with hotels I stayed are in similar level. I think it is a good deal. Yes this is a very old hotel and they are not hiding it by showing you all the images.
Check in was 8pm, instead of 3pm, which was not stated in the room discription. Please update your room discription so that customers don't have to wait outside until 8pm.
Hot shower was not availabl(it was hot, but the amount was too little, almost none), so I took cold water shower.
Bathroom was moldy, had clumps of hair from a previous stay, and bugs crawled out of the sink.
There was a 1-inch gap between the door and the hallway, so light and noise came in.
There are no towels provided in the eco-friendly room.
Because there was no front desk staff, I was not able to store my luggage.
Picked this place for its price and closeness to the Taipei station. Expected not to be very comfortable for the price I paid. However, the bed is really hard.
Loads of hairs on the floor, it obvious nobody vacuumed it. Otherwise good

You get what you paid for I guess? When we went there there was no one at the counter and we had to figure out how to check-in.. we tried calling and no one picked up, found a number to text amongst the many notices on the counter and someone finally came down.
The room was okay, bed was a little hard, wallpapers were peeling, felt a little musky, do note that they only provide disposal towels so you might want to bring your own towel.
Overall I think it was a decent stay for a cheap price, I can see why people with a tight budget would perfer it.
New May Flower Hotel is extremely outdated & needs major renovations. Walls need painting. Wallpaper needs replacing. Furniture is scratched/damaged. This property still uses keys to open doors. We rented the Eco Room. This room has no housekeeping service. Upon check-in, the clerk mentions that towels are not provided. I showed the clerk the Expedia listing. Expedia said that towels were provided. Clerk said Expedia is wrong. There was no point in arguing with the hotel clerk. Since it was too late to get a refund, we stayed at the property. A few hours later, I noticed Expedia had removed the towels reference. Our room faced the main street and we could hear the sounds outside. This room did not have a/c, but a fan was provided. We ran the fan 24/7 to get some air circulating as the room had a stale and musty odor. We thought the room had mold, but maybe it was just the wallpaper glue. Although it was close to the Taipei Main Station, I would not recommend this hotel. This hotel does have an elevator though.
