Perfect Family Stay

From walking in the door the property far exceeded expectations. It was the perfect getaway for our extended family. With 18 guests it truly hit all the marks providing nice areas to escape as well as large gathering spaces to enjoy meals. The location is ideal to walk into town but far enough away to enjoy a quiet retreat. I would highly recommend The Blue Jewel.

Had an incredible time at the blue jewel. Staff was super helpful and helped with breakfasts and all of our excursions. Would recommend the blue jewel to anyone looking for a great place on the beach

Wonderful place for a family trip!

We have a large combined family and this house was perfect for family meals, games, relaxation and pool fun. The proximity to the beach is great! We all loved it!

Great location, well maintained house

The house was perfect for my group of 14 adults. The daily housekeeping was very nice and the rooms were all very clean and comfortable. The location right on the beach is ideal. The house comes stocked with tons of towels, pool toys and everything you would need for a beach getaway. Highly recommend this house.

Great Family Getaway

The house is in a perfect location for our family. Our stay was wonderful and the staff at the house was great by helping us with the large group we had. The location of the house near town and the direct access to the beach is perfect.

Fantastic Group Stay

Our group of adult couples had a fantastic time at Blue Jewel. The house is beautiful, location is fantastic right on beach and very close to town. Staff is super helpful and attentive without being obtrusive. We hired Ulysses to cook most of our meals and couldn't have been happier with the delicious food he prepared. Will definitely return!

Lovely Costa Rican stay

Fantastic vacation

My family (13 of us aged from 19 - 84) just spent a wonderful week at the Blue Jewel. The staff was friendly and efficient. We took advantage of the chef services several days and thoroughly enjoyed the meals prepared. The location was close to many other food options. All members of my family would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful house in a perfect location

We have just returned from Blur Jewel and had a wonderful experience. We were a group of 19 adults. The house was just as stated. Very responsive communication with the house manager Marianna. We had a chef for breakfast and dinners each day arranged by the house. The location was perfect walking distance to shops and restaurants as well as located right on the best part of the beach.

Amazing friends reunion

Our stay at Blue Jewel was fantastic! Our group of 9 friends spent a week in early May and had an amazing time. The property was beautiful and in a perfect location situated steps from the beach and a quick walk to Tamarindo. The space itself was nicely maintained and very well designed to accommodate a large group with both indoor and outdoor living. The outdoor dining space and pool area was the perfect gathering area for our group. The concierge was very responsive and made communications and planning easy, including booking a chef for our stay and helping with stocking groceries. The onsite staff was great and friendly, making the stay easy and enjoyable. Overall, we couldn't have bee happier with our stay and would absolutely recommend the Blue Jewel!

Perfection!

We had the best experience staying at the Blue Jewel. Everything was beyond our expectations. We highly suggest setting up meals with the chef, so good and convenient. The prices of meals were a little more than we expected but still absolutely worth every penny. Thanks to the amazing staff! Our stay was perfection!

Perfect Vacation

Even better than advertised on the listing. Each bedroom in the main house had its own A/C and bathroom. In between the back yard and the public beach is a shaded (with trees) stretch with a small fence for semi-privacy. Can take the beach or a sidewalk to town. We added on chef services for dinner and every dinner was incredible.

Cultivate Balance Women's Wellness Retreat

This was my second time staying at The Blue Jewel. We hired Ulysses the private chef to make our meals and he was absolutely fantastic! The food he and his assistant created was phenomenal and I would hire his services again without hesitation. We used Warren with Sloth Tamirando for our transportation and excursions and he was amazingly professional and super great.

Blue Jewel Villa - Birthday party

From the communication with property contact Mari to our housekeeper Mabel as well as the Chefs Ulyssis and Evelyn everything was simply outstanding. Everyone was accommodating, resourceful and hospitable. We were a group of 19 and everyone had a wonderful time. We highly recommend the location, and all it's amenities. This property is conveniently located to restaurants; bars; shopping and tour attractions. This was our second trip to Costa Rica and we truly had a great time again. Pura Vida.

40th bday with good friends

We stayed at this property for my 40th bday with good friends and it was everything we were looking for. The house manager was amazing and so helpful with anything we needed. The staff and chefs that they hired were incredible. They kept the house and grounds so clean and made the most amazing food. We had the best time and already miss it. The location is really great and walking distance from lots of restaurants/shopping and the little town. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. Fantastic Family Spot

A group of 18 of us, aged 17 to 85, traveled to Costa Rica and we were so happy with Blue Jewel! The VRBO host was very responsive to questions before we left the U.S. and they organized airport transfers for us. We also utilized the services of the chef for a few meals and the food was amazing! Having access to the beach just in front of the property, plus a private pool, provided for opportunities for lots of activity, especially for the group of our 20-somethings. We rented surfboards next door from Langosta Beach Club, and the VRBO host located some boogie boards at their other properties which we used during the week. The on-site housekeeping staff and security staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. We dream of visiting again!

Oasis on Tamarindo beach

We had a family reunion of 23 people with grandchildren ages 6 to 24. The property met all our expectations and was actually prettier than the pictures presented. The staff was amazing and the chef and food delicious. The beach in front of the property is nice sand and our children enjoyed boogie boarding, surfing, and playing ball. The porches were perfectly situated to provide shade all day, and the pool was well Utilized. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which was very convenient. Would not hesitate to recommend this property or even return.

Amazing house and location!

This was our second trip to Tamarindo and nothing beats this spot! The house is great for large groups with numerous king suites, lots of common space indoors and outdoors, a great pool and lounge area and an unbeatable location. Best location in Tamarindo, we could walk right out to the beach to relax, swim and surf and also walk downtown in about 10 minutes! The staff is absolutely amazing! They keep the house very clean and secure. We also booked the chef for some of our meals and would highly recommend them for meals at the house at the large outdoor dining table. We hope to be back next year and this was easily one of our groups favorites vacations to date! Thanks Blue Jewel for giving us an unforgettable week! Pura Vida! Perfection!

The property is more than perfect! I can't say enough great things about this place. Let me first talk about the location. It is on the beach! You can walk out the back and walk directly to the restaurants on the beach. We found that easier than than walking on the street. Second, the rooms. Each room had it's own bathroom! Every guest in the house had their privacy. Third, the staff. Friendliest and attentive staff you'll ever meet. There is a total of 7 staff members that keep this place consistently amazing, safe, and secure. Everyday the maids cleaned each room/bathroom. Fourth, if you have the chance to order meals I would 100% recommend. Hands down, the best tastiest food we ate all week were the meals that were prepared by the chef at the villa. Our group had a great time staying at the Blue Jewel in Tamarindo!
