"Hotel Pasatiempo is an oasis in Tamarindo! There is a lush garden throughout the property and you can see a variety of animals like monkeys, iguanas, raccoons, etc. It has air conditioned/ceiling fans, spacious and very clean cabanas with wonderful patios. The pool is has lots of seating around it and is a nice option from going to the beach. The beach is across the main road in Tamarindo and there are many restaurants and shops right there. The hotel has a bar and restaurant also. The staff is super friendly and accommodating! I love it there!! My one recommendation is to have a variety of pillows. 😁"

"We had a beautiful 3 days at Capitán Suizo! It was clean, comfortable, and the food was delicious! But the most amazing part was definitely the staff - they were attentive, welcoming, and truly went above and beyond. The hotel is super peaceful but an easy walk to all the restaurants, stores and nightlife if that’s what you want. Thank you all for a great stay! "

"Wow - what a magical time! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Pri and Zula were INCREDIBLE - the best service and absolute kindest people. Gabriel at the bar was also exceptional - everyone staffed was so kind, warm, and friendly. We felt truly at home :) The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, bed is comfortable, and so charming/unique. Super safe area and the food at the restaurant was incredibly delicious - the fish and chicken tacos were some of the best bites we had on our entire vacation! The grounds were also gorgeous and we loved the pool and overall vibes. Would 100% come back and highly recommend Ocho to anyone visiting the area! "

"Very happy with our stay at Occidental Tamarindo! First, the staff, I’ve never felt so welcomed any where else. Plenty of food and drinks. Clean rooms and facility in general. Entertainment team made a huge effort every single night and was really appreciated by us. They go above and beyond in every show with whatever resources they have. Special mention to the tours desk in the hotel with Sibü Tours! Yusi is amazing and very personal in every interaction. The best driver ever, Manrique, is all you need when looking for a friend in an unknown destination! He’s our friend now! Francisco, the guide, was fun, friendly and informative (5 stars), and Don Diego the big boss, a very humble, pleasant and friendly guy. Such a great team! We’re already planning to go to Occidental again!"
