"Small wellness guesthouse in Upper Tapovan, near Secret Garden Café on Balaknath Road. Best if you want a quiet base with yoga and sattvic food, not a luxury hotel or a party stay. Solo travelers, yoga students, women traveling alone, and people who want vegetarian, no-alcohol, no-smoking surroundings. Not ideal if you want nightlife, non-veg meals, or a riverside room on the Ganga. Upper Tapovan is quieter than Laxman Jhula, but it is uphill. Without a taxi or scooter, expect a climb with bags. Cafés, yoga schools, and shops are nearby; Laxman Jhula is a walk, not next door. Tell the driver: “Anandmaya Retreat, near Secret Garden Café, Upper Tapovan.”"

"I loved everything. The room with the patio facing Ganga Maa. The friendly staff especially our housekeeper Pradeep and the amazing staff at The Citrus Cafe Radha and Sachin! Even all security guards were awesome. I will stay here when I return next year."

"This place was close to Laxman Jhula. Tapovan ghat 10 minutes and you may like to experience Ganga Arati in the evening, The food at fork and flora was really good. The restaurant is open till 11 I believe, outside restaurants close early.The only bad part was finding the hotel , because it is nestled between Antalya and Terrakota and some time google map mess it up."

"We had a perfect stay at this hostel. Clean, well-designed room, friendly and helpful staff and a convenient location which set us up in the heart of Tapovan. Whilst there were essentially no windows (they looked directly onto another building), we didn’t mind as the room was cozy and well air conditioned. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
