"Nice hotel, great location and good parking"

"My 96 year old mum uses a rollator and for long distances a wheelchair. There are a number of stairs to access the reception and restaurant and staff made sure there was a ramp and gave us stair free access to the restaurant via another function room. Reception also helped me to use the EV charges as you need to download an app to use them. The evening meal was superb and the after eight cocktail delicious. Hotel is in a beautiful location surrounded by an excellent golf course with a stunning view of Tewkesbury Abbey. Full marks to the staff and the chef. Will certainly stay again. "

"Room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Loved roaming around the hotel's nooks and corners. It is an old and historic building and it met our expectation. We got a very good deal, mid week. Breakfast - enjoyed the content part, including blueberries and yoghurt. Cooked English breakfast was mediocre and wished I had stuck to continental. Will return to the pub and to stay in the hotel."

"We had superior rooms on the second floor with wonderful views. They were clean and comfortable, though the room service was a little careless. The second floor is accessed via 2 long stair cases. Quite an effort for 2 old codgers with cases. Staff were helpful and polite. This is more like a large pub with rooms, though popular with the locals and always busy, probably due to reasonable prices. All in all ,a good experience. Love Ross."

"Clean but like some old buildings, plumbing is a challenge. A shower where it was impossible not to spill water on the floor! But the room was clean and comfortable."

"Room could have done with an easy chair but was good otherwise. Hotel seems to pick its staff for their friendliness and helpfulness. Not a bad one amongst them. Plenty of choice at breakfast though evening meals were limited as awaiting new cooling facilities. Plenty of parking at front and back of hotel. Hotel location ideal for getting into Gloucester. Very pleased overall and would definitely use again."
