Outstanding value! Clean, well maintained, generous size, quiet and comfortable. This is a small 'boutique motel'. We loved the two bicycles that are available for free use to ride on the path along the lake's shore. We loved our stay here and highly recommend.

A fabulous 60s themed unit. It had all we needed and was spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and location was excellent, walkable to the lake and town centre. Will definitely return.

Very comfortable, felt like a private batch than a motel. The extra single bed was great. Love the unique decor! We stayed in winter but it would be stunning in summer with use of a lovely back garden common area.

Super cute and clean property! Tony gave us some excellent recommendations around the area (we loved Two Mile Bay Sailing Club!). We had the guesthouse in the back which felt nice and private. Would definitely stay again

We stayed in room 5, a quirky retro style room. Hosts were friendly and we had everything we needed for a comfortable one night stay. Only thing preventing 5 stars instead of 4 was host lived in room above and we could hear every footstep. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Taupo.

The Lake Hotel was very cute and comfortable. Wish we had stayed here more than 1 night just because it was so cute! Host steered us to a delicious dinner at the Mole and Chicken and we overall really enjoyed our stay.
