There’s easy access to the local beach, and the boat transfer directly from the hotel to Tavira Island (for a small fee) is a real standout feature. Facilities are solid, with pools, a spa, bars, and a good restaurant serving local Algarve dishes. The on-site museum and preserved buildings add an extra layer of interest and authenticity. Staff are excellent throughout, and the rooms are clean and well maintained. Breakfast offers a wide selection, although it can feel a little repetitive over longer stays. The only real trade-off is the location. It’s not in Tavira town centre, which is great for peace and quiet, but you’ll need to rely on taxis, Uber, or a short drive to get into town."

"This property and entire experience was excellent. The staff at the hotel and restaurant are really extraordinarily good. The food was excellent both for breakfast and at the restaurant. The pool is beautiful and people were using it while we were there even though it was mid April and lovely warm. This is a wonderful find and we look forward to going back. The grounds are beautifully maintained and there is a farm animal area to visit which is lovely and fun!"

"We had a lovely four nights here in this older but charming hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms with a Juliette balcony to relax on. Breakfast on offer was lovely and we enjoyed the evening meals… delicious! Right across from the ferry to Tavira Island it was a perfect spot."

"A wonderful property, beautifully kept, very clean & spacious rooms. Breakfast is lovely and the setting is fabulous. A short 30 minute stroll to the nearest small town for restaurants & train station. Bikes available to borrow and a very peaceful orange grove location. The staff are very welcoming & helpful. This was our second stay and we will return."
