"The property is beautiful. Our room was lovely—very clean and comfortable. The seating in our room was perfect for reading, and the balcony an extra treat. Allen was so gracious and helpful. The location was great for dinner plans and a short easy drive to Churchill Downs. Breakfast was delicious—especially the biscuits and gravy. "Loved everything about our stay! From the rooms, to the bar, to the restaurant, to the mini market, to the shuttle! Staff is accommodating and quick to resolve any issue! Will stay here again! "

The Brown Hotel

"The Brown Hotel had Shuttle Service and then would not shuttle us to Chrurchill Downs. The next day we dropped people at Churchill and they were told to call when they wanted to get back. That was on our way to the airport. I felt like we were treated very poorly. The Hotel is masterpiece but staff is not engaging. I was returning to visit Kentucky after 50 years. Had lived there in elementary school. We were outsiders, I did not expect that."

"The staff was very polite. The front desk was very helpful with any questions. The rooms weren’t very cleaned thoroughly. There seemed to be a chemical layer of smudge everywhere that was not wiped off very well. The night stand had a decent layer of dust. The refrigerator was wide open and the temp was almost off. The microwave was also open, the filter to the air conditioner was out and drying. Big sticky stain in the carpet near the tv area. The remote changed the channel but didn’t turn the tv on (had to turn it on by using the button on the actual tv). The bathroom toilet and trim around the bathroom seemed to have a sticky dusty layer on it."
