    Steps away from the Ocean, and your private pool is right off the covered lanai. Playa Potrero is renowned for its soft volcanic sand, and gentle warm ocean water. It's the perfect swimmer's and walker's beach.

    Casa Columbine is the perfect location for the “Beach Hopper” with many world class beaches nearby. We stayed here for 10 nights and really loved the home. The yard is beautifully landscaped, private and the pool is great. We were looking for a peaceful escape and this home delivered it. Easy beach access and all amenities in the area.

Great property. Clean, everything you need. The host Mike is wonderful and great communication. We used a lot of his recommendations including Sibou Spa (amazing), dinner at Sendito Norte and more. Thanks for all the recommendations, it really helped us plan. Stay here, amazing place!

An amazing place to stay! Perfect for a beach escape, with the quiet beach just a quick walk away. It has everything you need, a lovely pool, is impeccably clean, perfect layout, comfortable beds, and feels very safe in a great location. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

We were traveling with littles and decided to have a home-base for our trip.Casa Columbine was perfect! It was a nice safe area. We could walk to the beach then jump in the pool to cool off.The AC worked great and it was nice to be able to do laundry. A reasonable drive for our adventures! Great restaurants and shops near by. The concierge was so helpful and responsive. We would highly recommend and stay there again if in the area!

House was very clean, pool was great and easy access to the beach. I thought the pool might be too shady but it gets great sun and the shady back porch was nice as the weather was very hot. Great stay overall!

We have stayed at several houses and this kitchen was so well equipped. We called the host once when one of the beach chairs broke due to rust. The next day we received two new beach chairs. The house is in a great location. There was a family of monkeys at the end of the street enjoying the mangos. The landscaping was beautiful and the backyard was full of birds, iguanas and butterflies. Very relaxing.

This place was everything that we needed. Kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals. The pool was a stand out and the backyard landscaping was lovely. Easy walk to the beach and local restaurants...We loved Puro coffee! Overall, this place exceeded our expectations, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend!

Good value for the money, pura vida vibes, a few minor issues. Kitchen was well-apportioned and cook-friendly. Hosts were very friendly and responsive. A few things could have been prevented that would have made our stay even more enjoyable but it was still on the upper-end of what a seasoned traveler should expect in similar locales. We felt welcomed and appreciated. Concierge services were a very nice touch. Not a lot of places left on this coast where you can still taste Costa Rican culture and style, but it seems like Portrero is holding on. The touristy areas are close enough to scratch that itch as well (nightlife, shopping, etc.).

Great spot with an amazing private (and quiet) pool, and an easy walk to the beach. Perfect for our family of 3, but also would have scaled comfortably for up to 5 or 6 people. Beach access is across the street and roughly 100m away. The beach itself is also quiet - a HUGE contrast to the tourist swarmed Tamarindo. Close to a great scuba dive center, restauarsnts, sodas, markets, and other amenities.

Host was great. The villa was great and well fitted out with everything we needed. Love the pool. The garden was amazing beautiful flower’s security was excellent. The location was perfect. The whole family loved it.

Everything was great! From check in to check out. The house was lovely & would be very likely to book again. Great location for beach fun, wonderful food. The property management was amazing at answering any questions we had. Can wait for our next trip back.

This is a great property! It’s well stocked, well kept and very enjoyable place to stay! The kitchen had everything we needed for light cooking. It was very clean and comfortable. The lanai and pool were perfect for relaxing days! The owner was very responsive to questions before our trip, and the property manager was helpful and accessible during our stay. Also, the owner provided lots of very helpful I information about the property and the local area. We highly recommend this property!

relaxation!

My husband and I stayed here for the second time and so enjoy the home! We love how close it is to the beach and local restaurants. The place is very clean and comfortable and we absolutely LOVE the pool! Thank you for an awesome stay! We hope to be back again next year!
