Marshall Point Lighthouse is located near the fishing village of Port Clyde, Maine. The Lighthouse property includes the wonderful light, connected via the long wooden runway to the property, a lovingly-restored Keeper’s House, as well as welcoming grounds and complimenting gardens. In The Keeper’s House, there is an extensive museum housing exhibits centered on the lighthouse as well as a historic look into the industries and life on our peninsula.
As an interesting detail, in the movie “Forest Gump” Tom Hanks concluded his long run on the lighthouse runway.
There is “limited” but adequate parking available with easy access to the grounds and Museum.

"This cottage is right on the edge of a beautiful lake and is easily accessible to Damariscotta. We visited in mid-October when there was little activity on the lake and it was very quiet. The state and comfort of the house was a mix. Bathrooms and the bedrooms were clean. There were plenty of bath towels/face cloths etc. The upstairs bed was very comfortable and one has a sense of being perched right over the lake from this charming room. "

"Our vacation in Maine has come to an end. It was a great stay at Peaceful Day Dreamer. We did have a couple of issues that were taken care of by Vacasa in a timely manner. We will definitely be back next year to enjoy reading on the porch, listening to the loons at night and of course eating all the lobster that we could. This rental is a great place to unwind and enjoy some family time with our loved ones."

"We had a great time at Chensuncook cabins by the lake. Altho we didn't use the canoe we enjoyed a picnic lunch by the lake. Amenties were close to perfect and the decor and setup was on point. Location was great as well for visit to the Botanic gardens and close to the hikes we wanted to go to. Thanks for a lovely time."

"We had the most wonderful few days stay - I wish it was longer - Our room was great - loved the set-up. Bed was a bit soft but comfortable. Staff was helpful to us - Loved walking the grounds and spending time in the amazing pool. It's a little out of the way from shopping and restaurants - there is an on site one which was good but pricey. I would definitely give it a 10 - We stayed in a Deluxe Ocean Front King room bottom floor, could barely hear people above just the creak in the floors. "

"We stayed at Topside for one evening on our way down thru Maine. I can’t say enough wonderful things about it, starting with our welcome greeting from the lovely Rebekah, welcome cocktail, view of the harbor, 3 minute walk to town, lovely rooms, happy hour snacks, easy to meet neighbors….. I will be making many trips back to Boothbay just to stay here again!!!"
