"I had read the reviews so did know what to expect. The hotel was very tired and worn. Bedroom smelled very strongly of bleach when I opened the door so knew it had been cleaned. Bedding and towels fresh, white and spotless. I know why the comments about staff varied from unfriendly to smiley as it varied on which staff were on duty! There was no food at all but the Dudley Arms around the corner did daily breakfast and carvery meals so that was extremely handy. "

"This property is exceptional, beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, safe room, water provided every day, lovely staff, great food, we had beautiful breakfasts every morning of our 4 nights stay & dined in the restaurant 1 night, we had a room with a lovely view of the Severn, my only gripe is that the rooms are very warm, a fan was provided which helped a bit. "

"A simple hotel in the middle of Stourbridge. Rooms are adequate in size, the bed is comfortable and there's a good shower in the bathroom. There was a problem with my room but it got sorted quickly and the staff were excellent. Small changes in the bathroom would help - a shelf above the sink so there's somewhere to put your stuff and similarly a soap dish in the shower would be really useful."
