The hotel is located immediately below the historic university buildings. Our room had a spacious balcony on a quiet courtyard (autumn). The rooftop patio offers beautiful views of the city. Staff provided a free drink upon arrival, a free glass of wine at 6pm, and brought chocolate and a bedtime story to the room in the evening. This is our favorite hotel in Portugal, improved only if they would provide a kettle or coffeemaker in the room."

"Beautiful hotel. Very clean. Beds were incredibly comfortable. Parking was relatively easy, just behind the building. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was average (long wait times, mediocre food) but the included buffet breakfast was wonderful. Would stay here again."
