"De accomodatie Il Barbacane maakt onderdeel uit van een klein complex van appartementen, gelegen hoog in de heuvels naast Spoleto. Ze zijn mooi verdeeld zodat er genoeg ruimte is voor privacy. Il Barbacane is klein maar ruim genoeg voor twee personen en koel waardoor een airco niet nodig is. Het zwembad is prachtig (en koel!) met een mooi uitzicht over de heuvels en de vallei. Eindeloos veel rust is hier te vinden. Maar het allerbelangrijkste is de enorme gastvrijheid van de eigenaresse Federica."

"We would definitely return. The rooms are very crisp and clean, decorated with such elegance. It was like a wonderful romantic getaway. The view from our room was spectacular, overlooking the valley. We also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. The food was remarkable. Everything exceeded our expectations. Thank you for such wonderful hospitality."

"Ein Traumurlaub in einer wunderbar restaurierten, geschmackvoll eingerichteten Unterkunft ! Es fehlt an nichts. Die Gastgeber sind äußerst nette, warmherzige Leute. Es gab nicht die geringsten Probleme und wenn es welche gegeben hätte, dann wären sie sicher im Handumdrehen erledigt worden. Der Ort Macerino selbst atmet Geschichte aus jedem Stein, ist sehr malerisch und liegt ziemlich isoliert, was wir als großes Privileg und angenehmen Umstand empfunden haben. Man hört keinen Verkehrslärm, nur die Natur (viele Singvögel !!) und das Glöckchen der kleinen Kirche nebenan. Die Zufahrt von Westen und Süden ist über asphaltierte und sehr kurvenreiche Strassen möglich, von Norden und Osten gibt es nicht asphaltierte Wege, die allerdings für einen normal geübten Fahrer und ein übliches Auto auch kein Problem darstellen. Man fährt allerdings stets so um die 15-20 Minuten ab der letzten Landstraße. Es gibt im Ort ein (vorzügliches) Restaurant, wo man allerdings vorbestellen sollte und ein Schwimmbad. Für Einkäufe sollte man nach Acquasparta, Terni oder Spoleto fahren. Die Gegend ist ein Wanderparadies, man läuft fast überall durch herrliche und relativ kühle Laubwälder. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder !"

"Tout est parfait ! Propriétaires sympathiques et au petit soin. Maison grande et très agréable, très bien équipée (en particulier dans la cuisine où rien ne manque). Village plein de charme, et très belle région. Calme complet pendant nos 2 semaines de séjour. (fin avril-début mai). Nous revenons l'année prochaine !"
