You are strictly forbidden to use the kitchen you pass thru to access your room, nor even use the kettle or coffee maker to make your own tea or coffee. "What a lovely experience to be in a restored 11th century castle. The restaurant has a limited menu but you will not be disappointed. Everything is homemade including pastas and local cheese production. Italian meats are made during the slow season by the workers at the hotel. The view of the valley from the back door of the dining room is spectacular. This is a hidden jewel in Calabria. "

"What a lovely place! We had a fantastic time in Morano, nestled within the breathtaking Pollino National Park. The town is charming and uniquely situated. Our hotel was wonderful, impeccably maintained, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering great tips and recommendations. The breakfast was excellent, served in a cozy room filled with art pieces, homemade cakes, and a brilliant selection of food. We hope to return and explore more of this beautiful area."

"Construction started 7am in the morning on a Sunday. When I approached the staff, first they denied it which is ridiculous in itself but eventually just didn't care. We left after the first night of a two night booking. "

"The owner was very helpful in responding to us. We enjoyed the quiet location where we could relax and do laundry when we weren't spending time with our friends nearby. We did bring our own toilet paper to supplement what was left in the house and we paid a bit extra to have bedding and towels provided. All in all, it was a very desirable location. Our children liked the proximity to a beach and the nearby market."
