"Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura per una notte. La camera era molto pulita e spaziosa, a disposizione in camera un frigo con l'acqua, macchinetta del caffè con cialde e zucchero, set di posate, piatti e tazze. Ottimo, anche il ristorante, con piatti tipici fatti alla griglia o pizza. Ottima scelta per chi viaggia in moto come noi perché si ha la possibilità di parcheggiare la propria moto davanti alla camera. Personale molto cortese e disponibile. "Very friendly staff, especially at reception when I arrived. Lovely decor and close to restaurants. Great breakfast."

"The hotel is beautiful and in a great location but has some odd issues that make me think the management is skimping on maintenance. We noticed that the phone was not connected. When we brought it up to the front desk we were told that they were aware of the problem and they gave us the external number to the hotel so that we could call on our cell. No attempt was made to fix the phone. There was a leak from the bathroom sink. After we told them of the problem they did nothing about it. That evening we called about it. It took a while to explain the problem because the person that answered barely spoke English. They did send someone to mop up the floor but no one ever came to repair it. When we used one of the light switches it blew the circuit breakers in the room and also caused rooms near us to lose power too. They got it to work but that night at 1:00 AM it happened again. 8 of their staff showed up to fix it but no one was able too. Power was restored to the other rooms but never to ours. We moved to another room for the rest of our stay. We thought all this to be comical but none of the problems had been repaired when we left 2 days later. These things shouldn’t happen at a 5 star hotel."

"The palazzo is a lovely old house in the center of town right off the main square. The secret sauce here is the large, beautiful garden in back and the extremely personalized service. The staff makes every effort to please and assist. The general approach is thoughtful and old school in a nice way. We had a large room facing the street that was comfortable with high ceilings and lots of space. Bernalda, at first, seems like a not particularly lovely little town but it does grow on you. The house is infused by the interests and personality of the owner Francis Ford Coppola -- probably the principal reason most people visit. Fortunately, the hotel mostly lives up to the expectations..."
