There’s no restaurant on site, you have to pay €90 to make sure a private chef cooks for you that day which is inconvenient. There is also no elevator on the property. The spa service was mediocre "

"We were looking to enjoy the mountain views of a quiet, Italian country side. This place had it all! The beautiful soul who was governess of the estate- Amelia- cooked us a DIVINE breakfast and helped us feel so very welcome! Can’t possibly say enough about her talent! Five stars!"

"We had higher expectations - and I don’t mean luxury. This is a very basic property, lacking many amenities you’d expect in a 3* star rated property (e.g. tea making facilities in the room) and maintained with little attention to detail. We had two dinners in their restaurant, no menu or prices, you find out the bill at check out and let me tell you it’s MUCH higher than we had anticipated for the quality and service received. "Charming hosts. Best to have some words of Italian or at least functioning Google Translate for your visit; Elena also speaks French which was helpful! Old-fashioned and pleasant stone rooms at a good price, lovely views and ability to have breakfast/lunch/dinner on the premises, very good local cuisine. Ideally you would come with your own car as exploring locally by foot is not really an option, too remote. But in a car, great!"

"The name of the hotel says it all, Grand. From the second you walk in you can feel the history and the elegance. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make sure that my last two days in Sicily were perfect. Whether it was booking us a dinner reservation or bringing a complementary cake to my room for my girlfriend’s birthday they truly showed every bit of Italian hospitality. The rooms are phenomenal with huge showers and lots of natural light. We also ate at the restaurant here which was top three meals of our 2 week trip. Hope to be back soon. "
