For the property itself, 5-stars property and service. 10-15 minutes walk to night market which tolerable. Thailand is hot and humid, so 10 minutes walk can be sweaty. Just one down side for us. Unless you take taxi. Property provides one way transportation to the night market which is helpful. "

"Nice beach resort with an excellent beach when the tide is out but no beach when it’s in. The Italian restaurant was mediocre at best and over-priced, but the other 2 restaurants were nice as was the excellent breakfast. The room was spacious but there was no place to sit except a desk chair. It was also exceedingly damp. The main issue for us was the use of the space in front of our room for events causing some noise. "

"The pool is huge and the trees and gardens around the pool are beautiful. It's a very nice area to relax at. This hotel is excellent for families with children because many of the rooms are around the pool so parents can relax on the balconies while their children play in the pool steps away. We had to change rooms because they were having an ant problem with our first room but the rooms were very clean and the maids did a great job. The breakfast was included with our room. "This property is an oasis in Hua Hin and it is beautiful with very nice staff. The breakfast was nice but a little repetitive. Location on the beach is great with nice views of the bay. When the tide comes in there is no beach but it returns in the evening. Food at the restaurant was good, large portions. No entertainment on site. Pool closed early. We got a bit bored after 3 days. Hua Hin is a bit creepy with old men and young Thai women. The open air market to the left of the clock tower is...

"I have stayed at Tara Mantra many times as it is a lovely friendly and very comfortable hotel. I stayed a week with friends and we all felt relaxed and made to feel very welcome. My only criticism is that the cooked items in the buffet breakfast are mainly cold even early in the service. "

"Second time to visit this hidden gem just south of Hua Hin city. Its old, but with only 15 sea-view units, steps from the beach, who cares??? Staff are wonderful and the food is good at the little dining terrace facing the sea. Views are amazing and the small salt-water pool is also delightful. Highly recommended if you want an intimate place to stay with no fanfare and fancy facilities."
