"Unique boutique type hotel but the parking is tough, especially for an oversized vehicle! We arrived and there was a festival happening so all street parking and hotel parking was full. Thankfully later that evening, after the event, we were able to find overnight parking on the street. But beware, there are only a couple spots offered by the hotel. Our room was nice but the bed and pillows were dated, felt like it needed to be replaced because there was a pit in the middle of the mattress. Overall the area is charming, the customer service was great and we enjoyed the charm of the historic building."

"Breakfast is in a room overlooking the ocean. It is served on beautiful table sittings. Their custard French toast might be the best French toast I've ever had by miles. I go back again just for that!"

"We loved this hotel. It was so nice and our room faced the ocean. What a gorgeous view. Loved the food and would definitely stay here again. "

"They don't have televisions in rooms and that is okay, but booking sites should be clear about that."

"We had a lovely stay at the Charles Pacific Grove property. The staff was very friendly and room was nicely decorated. The inn is very quaint with a nice sitting area to meet other guests. The breakfast was very tasty with fresh fruit, yogurt and pastries. We look forward to coming back soon!"

"The property was new and clean. We had issues with the outlets in our room, they stopped working mid-trip but maintenance was able to fix them. The only staff member I'll highlight was Joe the bar manager. He went above and beyond to make sure our experience at the bar/restaurant was perfect. His employees on the other hand were very rude. We were treated very poorly by some of the bar staff."

"We loved the location of Hipster Vibe! It's within walking distance to Lover's Point, Cannery Row, and all around Pacific Grove. Walking through the neighborhoods and seeing the plaques on homes that date as far back as the 1880s - such wonderful history in this area! We had a very minor issue one day with our door key code not working and we received immediate, friendly assistance and a new entry code that got us inside within minutes. This kind of responsiveness is so appreciated.Be aware that there is a very popular (and delicious) restaurant located below this unit so there were typical dining and commercial kitchen noises until late in the evening, more noticeable to us because we had the bedroom window open. A cool bonus to this unit is a turntable and vinyl records that we enjoyed every evening as we relaxed after our day's activities. We found a record store a couple of blocks away and were able to find a few more albums of our own to listen to and take home. It was a great way to unwind each day and added to the hipster vibe of it all.Thanks for a great stay!"

"The place was good and clean but they charged me for something they don’t even know what it’s about. I called and said i was not charged for anything extra but my credit card was charged extra for 2 rooms that I booked. They said it will be reimbursed after 10days but it’s been more than that and they don’t even know what those charges are for."
