"Room was clean, bed was comfortable, kitchenette had enough pots, pans and cutlery to cook meals. There was a pool, tennis courts (racquets and balls supplied), hot tub and table tennis table. Lots of parking. It's a short walking to the main shopping street in town. "

"Sarah was a very responsive , warm host. The property is a little piece of heaven. The Shearer’s quarters was a unique awesome experience, just as described by the host on the website, we were very comfortable well lit up at night, loved the outdoor toilets adds to the authentic experience we were after. Luxuries in abundance at this property, peace, tranquility, calmness and connections to nature but if one is looking for materialistic luxuries leave this little piece of heaven off your list and don’t corrupt its beauty and authenticity.We had 9 children between us ages ranging from 6-16 they didn’t even know where their devices were , they just enjoyed being with and in nature. "I really want to give 5 stars for this place- but unfortunately…,,,,The location and the house is stunning! But the let downs was the cleanliness. The spa was disgusting and had broken glass by the gate. Nearly every piece of cutlery, tray, plate and cup was dirty. No hand soap or dishwashing liquid. The first night no hot water. The fire pit is on a side of a hill- no chance for confit- and the house is 12 people- 3 double rooms 1 room with 4 bunks and a downstairs with 2 sofa beds. But no one can sleep downstairs as no curtains at all!For a property over 1k per night it was a little disappointing- but as mentioned the views were awesome!"

"Cabin was prepared ahead of time with heater running since it was middle of winter which added to the welcoming...nice!!! Great to break away from city life and enjoy the peace. Very tidy, well maintained and comfortable making our stay enjoyable. "
