"Host was excellent with communication. Plenty of room for large family. Set of sheets were covered in hair. Rewashed and used. The bar top was dirty, dish drain mat was filthy and dishes left out. Other than that we had a great time!"

"The Friday Escape was an amazing place. The views were unreal!! The place was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable as well. The hosts were amazing!!! You have everything you need at this wonderful place… Plus you’re not far from anything, and the icing on the cake was seeing the elk right in the field across from the house!!! It was amazing"

"For those who don't know the area, get used to egg smell of water. Thankfully, it's fine. Jist the smell. Fridge has filtered water and ice. Flys were bad this year (Aug 2026), but didn't stop us from the beautiful night sky, campfire, and absolute quietness of the space. Milky Way on point!! Look up at night! Totally worth it! Enjoy the deer roaming the acres. Enjoy the pure quiet. Linens were provided and space is perfect. We loved the kitchen, dining, living, bed spaces. Bathrooms are great. Recommend bug repellent as it's the wilderness for sure. Also recommend dimming the lights at night, otherwise the bugs LOVE each doorway."

"Our stay at Camp Critter was very nice! The facility is in great shape and the inside decor was really "fitting" for being in Elk County. We spent most of our time lounging down by the fire pit near the creek & we even cooled off in the creek on the hot days. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking & eating utensils. Our early mornings were spent sitting & eating out on the large cover front porch. We even had elk walk thru the front yard one evening. The view of the nighttime stars & sky was awesome as well. Our family was more than satisfied & refreshed after our long weekend here. I would highly recommend this camp & we plan on coming back soon. :)"
