Royal Hotel Ross On Wye by Greene King Inns

"Ideal location for Ross on Wye and exploring the area. Old historic building with usual quirky uneven floors and some signs of wear and tear which were more than compensated for by the friendliness and warmth of all of the staff. We had a superior room with windows on two sides - spacious and very comfortable with traditional dark wood furniture. In older buildings, a lack of power points is often an issue, as it was for this room, but I take an extension lead - problem solved. Breakfast was excellent, and we had a sandwich at lunch and bar snacks in the evening in the bar, both very good. Parking is within the hotel and free. Would go back and recommend to others."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Wonderful and Memorable Stay We had such a lovely stay at the Radcliffe Guest House in Ross-on-Wye and genuinely could not have asked for a warmer welcome. From the moment we arrived, Geoff and Kim were incredibly friendly, welcoming and thoughtful. Geoff kindly helped us carry our luggage to our room when we checked in, which was such a lovely personal touch. He then spent time chatting with us and sharing lots of useful local knowledge, recommending places to visit, things to see and some great restaurants and places to eat. His recommendations really helped us make the most of our time exploring Ross-on-Wye and the beautiful surrounding Wye Valley. We stayed in Room 3, which was cosy, comfortable, clean and very well kept. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and the partial views of the River Wye from the room were a lovely added bonus. What really made our stay special, though, was the genuine warmth and hospitality from Geoff and Kim. They made us feel welcome from the very beginning and their friendly, personal approach made the guest house feel much more like a home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were genuinely sorry to leave. Thank you, Geoff and Kim, for making our visit to Ross-on-Wye so enjoyable and memorable. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Radcliffe Guest House to anyone visiting the area, and we would definitely love to stay again. A wonderful guest house and wonderful hosts."

"A beautiful location within 15 mins walk from Ross-on-Wye. you won't get a better breakfast and your host Carol is very helpful and a mine of information about where to go and what to do. The breakfast has something for ever taste and the fresh fruit and local produce is a treat.Don't expect lots of things you may get in a 5 star hotel but enjoy the charm of a lovely old farmhouse and exceptional personal service in peace and quiet. We loved it!"

"We had the most amazing stay, a beautiful room in a beautiful house with a beautiful garden and the owners (Sheila and Guy) were so incredibly lovely and welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent as were the flapjacks and cakes! Would definitely recommend and we will be going back!"
