"This property is old but clean. It is quite quaint and lovely. The front desk staff were very nice. The bartender Luis was amazing! Wonderful, friendly man and best margaritas and Pina Coladas we have had in Mazatlan. The only downside for us was the lack of an elevator and it is very loud at night as it is on the Malecón. We would stay here again! The location is wonderful! Close to everything! The views from the patio are also incredible!"

"Small little hotel not too far to walk to the Malecon. Nice clean room with comfortable beds and good AC, big warm shower and a TV with lots of channels. We stayed on Easter Eve and there was a huge party on the Malecon for miles! The streets were filled with cars blasting music. These cars came by the room all night but we still got a great night's sleep. There wasn't a rooftop area as described and some kind of construction on the top floor was happening. We didn't eat downstairs but it looked nice. We had beers in the bar, super cheap served by a friendly waiter. There was some garbage smell outside in that area but the streets were clean and people were even sweeping in the morning. Overall it was a nice place for the price."

"Is that with you but I cannot say enough about the hotel. I was looking at the photographs that I took and also the photographs online I was just floored. I mean, I shared it on social media to my friends but unbelievable. I really really really like it do you need a kitchen? I’ve been staying in place with the kitchen, but I’m not really cooking so the beauty and serenity of this place is rare and priceless so that’s what I gotta say and anyway you’re thinking about staying just do it just do it even if it’s just for a couple of days to get your feet wet just do it you will not be retiring. "

"Overall, we did enjoy our stay at Boca de Cielo Apartments. The complex is about a mile from the Olas Oltas Beach area, which has many restaurants, shops, and convenience stores. There is nothing else closer so we did a lot of walking. We enjoy walking so that was okay with us but may be a deterrent for others. The view from the unit is great. Our check-in process was poor as the owner was supposed to send an email with directions on how to get into the apartment. The email never showed up in my inbox even after multiple attempts. Finally, the owner sent me the instructions through whatsapp, which I did receive. Only one room card was provided, which was a challenge as we had three people in our group. The room card provides access to the complex, the elevator, and the unit. I messaged the owner twice requesting more cards but they never replied. Other items to think about before booking: -No safe in room -Only four towels and two hand towels -No beach towels -Missing tv in one room -Very limited glasses and coffee cups -Limited tp and no paper towels -Only one chair on balcony -Washer and dryer but no detergent -Roof top garden was great -Complex has pool, sauna, and jacuzzi -Nice community park across the street"

"We enjoyed our stay and plan to come back. The apartment was well furnished and we particularly enjoyed the location, view, swimming pool and fitness centre. We have already booked for next year. On the negative side, the cleaning was poor and some of the apartment features have not been well maintained. On the cleaning side, we had to wash the sheets and floors as soon as we arrived, at least after we had purchased and new broom and floor mop as the ones provided were filthy. The shower stall was dirty and obviously had not been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. The place mats on the dining table were stained and should be replaced."

"The kitchen appliances worked well. Utensils and dishes were adequate. The space was comfortable for two people. The large balcony with multiple sliding patio doors provided a view of the bay and beach and allowed for plenty of sea breeze to blow through the apartment. Air conditioning worked. Bathrooms are small, but fully functional. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of closet space. As the apartment overlooked the main road and malecon, with side streets on either side, street noise was a bit much at times. But that was expected. The apartment was clean, except for some surfaces ( like the top of the fridge) that only a tall person would notice. The location provided a pleasant ocean view, within walking distance of the Centro neighbourhoods. Communication with the rental agent was fairly easy with essential details provided to make check in straight forward. Communication was in Spanish, not my first language, so I did have to verify that I understood instructions correctly. I enjoyed my stay."
