"Very clean and comfortable. Took a while to find the switch for the electric blinds and had to go back down to reception for help - it wasn’t obvious. Signage in room would be very helpful!"

"One of the best places to stay in Cambridge , right next to the Central station. Very convenient to go to London and other destinations. Being used to North America, i have come to expect hotels to have air conditioning and after going around the UK in hotels with no AC. The ibis in Cambridge with its super modern rooms, AC and large baths are a huge relief. This is such a gem of a place in Cambridge close to the University and all the Major shops."

"Work in Cambridge for one night, friend have the Wedding there a couple years back. So we decided to stay at the hotel. Location wise is a 10 out of 10, very close to Kings College, only about five minutes walk. Walking to the shopping centre is also around five minutes where you can find all the shops. Our room was facing the Riverside, which was pretty quiet during the night. Parking was pretty easy only that £26 was a little bit steep. Overall, I think the hotel was up to its reputation and most likely we will be visiting again."

"Stayed here before my wedding and Patrick was so welcoming - we had a lovely time however they don’t have a laundry service or a steaming service or normal hangers to hang things which was a bit hard. Everything else was great"

"The property was excellent for what we needed and just on the edge of the village, so away from the main hustle and bustle, just a short walk from the village pubs, church and tea rooms and an even shorter walk to the Blueball pub, situated a field away from the Grantchester meadows with a walkway opposite the Blueball to a tarmac path that takes you to Cambridge through the Grantchester meadows or you can walk by the river, and a comfortable walk to Thrumpton for a supermarket and other pub's and shops. Excellent friendly hosts who you can contact and see in person if any questions need answering or problems sorting. Will definitely stay again if available when we want to stop."

"This is one of the best homes we have rented- it has a lovely welcoming feel. The house is thoughtfully decorated and equipped with everything you could possibly need without being cluttered. The good sized garden is secure, not overlooked, has outdoor furniture and a clothes line! Although it was extremely hot (mid 30s) while we were visiting, the house stayed acceptably cool. Parking on the property is good (we had one car but two could fit). The location of the house is fantastic. The walk across the meadows to Cambridge is beautiful and Grantchester itself is so pretty. The three pubs/restaurants in the village are all terrific but the Blue Ball in particular deserves a repeat visit. The food is terrific (including for vegetarians), and sitting in the shady garden on a warm evening was most relaxing.The host, Amy, was quick to reply to all communications and very accommodating. The information provided for guests in the house was very helpful.Many places that claim to be pet friendly are not- they only allow dogs. If you travel with a well behaved female cat this is most frustrating and we were grateful Amy accommodated us and our cat.We would definitely stay again."
