"Nice clean, comfortable property with everything you need. Comfortably sleeps 10. And it really is less than five minutes walk to Alton Towers! Definitely stay here again. "
"Stayed for a three nights at this cottage, it was lovely! Right in the countryside, surrounded by amazing views and only a short 10min drive to Alton Towers. Perfect for a family of three with everything you need for a short or long stay. Great location! Will definitely stay again! 😆👏 "
"Well lovely spacious accommodation so close to Alton towers I sort of worked out it is quicker to walk from the cottage than it is to drive into the car park and walk. I was very happy being in there and the large sofa and fire were so homely "
"Lovely staff in the adjacent barn conversion. Very spacious room with super king bed and lovley bathroom with free standing bath and separate shower.
Had a great stay"

5* Detached Stone Cottage with a Private Indoor Pool (Not Shared)
10/10 Excellent
"We planned a three night stay buy had to cut it short for family reasons. We were delighted with our choice. An old cottage on the outside with modern facilities inside. The welcome pack was much appreciated. The facilities were as described. The pool was great. We booked it really, as a back up for bad weather. The only problem was that the weather was so good we only used it once and it was more like a sauna around the edge but refreshing in the water,We planned to use the pub but never got around to it. Make sure you have your groceries on board if self-catering, though Ashbourne is quite close. ‘We’walked( my wife uses a mobility scooter) to1 Ashbourne and back via the Tissington Trail. It was fine. Very happy with our choice. We have used VRBO for years and have been very happy with the arrangements. Enjoy!"
"Nice accommodation near Alton Towers. Few little issues like no coffee and salt and could have been cleaner inside the kitchen cupboards and lounge light shades. But comfy beds and clean bathroom etc. Would come back. Nice stay. Communication with host was excellent. "
"This is a lovely cottage. It is charming, clean, comfortable and cosy. We had a nice surprise when we walked into the cottage and saw the beautiful Christmas decorations. The cottage is very well equipped and they seem to have thought of everything. The cottage is in a great location being just a five minute walk from the town centre and all it's amenities, the local park and the Tissington trail. I would most certainly recommend Lace Cottage to friends and family. everything. "
