"Fantastic 1 night stay. Pleasantly surprised at the size of the 2 bed lodge. Great value for money. Swimming included, just need to prebook a time slot at reception when checking in or with the manager of the swimming pool when you're there. "

"The Cumbria Grand is exactly what it sounds like — a big, old, atmospheric hotel with bags of heritage charm. And to its credit, that charm is real. The historic style works in its favour... right up until you notice the peeling paint and the layer of dust on the common area surfaces, at which point 'vintage' starts to feel more like 'overdue a renovation'. The rooms, to be fair, are clean and comfortable — just a little tired and in need of some maintenance love. Perfectly fine for a night or two. The bar is worth a visit — good quality food — although pricey. Parking was a squeeze when we arrived, though a function was on that day, so hopefully not always the case. Overall enjoyable enough, but some proper TLC would make a world of difference."

"Parking in pub car park was easy as we arrived early. Had a drink in the bar and a walk to the shore before check in at 2pm. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Room was lovely with everything you need. Bed was comfortable, lots of extra bedding and pillows if needed. Bath was a bit difficult to get out of for us personally but would be fine for most people. Meals were delicious, we had breakfast, dinner and tea. Thanks for a wonderful stay. "

"Met expectations. Host provided selections teas coffee, milk and bread. The flat was clean and tidy. The flat was in a good location, opposite a train station. Only annoyance was the standing water in shower which didn’t drain well. Definitely would stay again."

"A lovely apartment, ideally situated for visits to RSPB Leighton Moss which is why we chose it. Our second stay here. Our only niggle is that the apartment is too hot and you can not change heating settings. We had windows and doors open in October and seems such a waste! No complimentary jams this year and it still states these in visitor book so that was disappointing and milks provided were out of date. The actual apartment is lovely and we would book again."
