"Property was in a great location with access to many walks and close to Silverdale and Arnside. Property was clean and adequate for all needs during our stay."

"The Cumbria Grand is exactly what it sounds like — a big, old, atmospheric hotel with bags of heritage charm. And to its credit, that charm is real. The historic style works in its favour... right up until you notice the peeling paint and the layer of dust on the common area surfaces, at which point 'vintage' starts to feel more like 'overdue a renovation'. The rooms, to be fair, are clean and comfortable — just a little tired and in need of some maintenance love. Perfectly fine for a night or two. The bar is worth a visit — good quality food — although pricey. Parking was a squeeze when we arrived, though a function was on that day, so hopefully not always the case. Overall enjoyable enough, but some proper TLC would make a world of difference."

"Clean and an amazing location "

"Parking in pub car park was easy as we arrived early. Had a drink in the bar and a walk to the shore before check in at 2pm. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Room was lovely with everything you need. Bed was comfortable, lots of extra bedding and pillows if needed. Bath was a bit difficult to get out of for us personally but would be fine for most people. Meals were delicious, we had breakfast, dinner and tea. Thanks for a wonderful stay. "

"Met expectations. Host provided selections teas coffee, milk and bread. The flat was clean and tidy. The flat was in a good location, opposite a train station. Only annoyance was the standing water in shower which didn’t drain well. Definitely would stay again."

"This is a particularly good holiday apartment - excellent in the true meaning of the word. It almost feels like you go through a secret door up to somewhere heavenly.... certainly a spacious place where love and thought have been invested as well as money. The advance information from the owners was also particularly helpful.The location is excellent - just up from the Promenade via a pedestrian route but on a quiet road. The double flight straight up results in superb views over the Kent estuary in all weathers and the apartment is arranged to make the most of them with chairs and footstools in the sitting room and main bedroom. We enjoyed having the outdoor area to use. The welcome provisions were more ample than average. You can be as busy - plenty to do in the area - or as relaxed as you like here and it works for those travelling by rail as well as car."
