I liked it was central and could walk everywhere. I stayed on the 7th floor... good exercise up and down but there was a lift if needed. No lobby or seating there, Staff good and responded to questions. Lots of restaurants nearby. Easy bus from airport. I would stay again.

Clean, friendly, good location
Nice, clean, simple room with balcony and private bath. Friendly staff. Walk to all the sights and Ladika district. Close to buses. Good cheap food all around. Good WiFi. No plug at bed. Noisy street but double doors muffle it. A step up in creature comfort from the cheaper Hotel Kastoria across the street. Good old neoclassical building. I like that they have their name on the blankets!

I had a terrible experience with the staff which made my stay in Thessaloniki less than pleasurable. I had booked a single room since my boyfriend’s flight was scheduled for that evening and he wouldn’t be staying. Upon arriving, the front desk staff would not allow him to go up to the room - not even to drop his bags for the day. In my experience, hotels do not have the right to dictate who can visit a hotel room during the day. I ended up paying 10 extra euros for him to be allowed up to the room - just so we could spend our last day together. I would’ve understood the extra fee had he stayed the night, but for staff to say he couldn’t come up or leave his bags was out of line and unwelcoming. Not to mention that there wasn’t a duvet/blanket - only a single linen. It was too stuffy without the ac and too cold with it/without a blanket. I normally don’t leave bad reviews, but this hotel left a bad taste in my mouth.

Budget Hotel near Train Station and Downtown
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is within walking distance from train station, waterfront, and Roman forum. But the hotel is beside an extremely busy street, with loud traffic sounds 24 hours a day. Fortunately there is air conditioning, so you can shut the window. The furniture was old and the common areas looked worn, but it was nice to have a fridge in the room. My room smelled of cigarette smoke and had an ashtray in it, but the common areas had non-smoking signs. Tip: go to the nearby train station and take a day trip to Edessa, a hill town with waterfalls and historic buildings, just an hour away. It is a much nicer place than Thessaloniki.

Great location for everything!
Staff were helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. The location was outstanding! Easy to find your way around the city and very walkable. Lots of places to eat, get caffeinated and shop. The elevator was great! All the essentials.

I had a single room on the last floor so I am commenting about my room only, not about the entire hotel, as some rooms might be better and some not so good. My room was ok overall for a 2 stars hotel. Below are the pluses and minuses + a/c, big balcony, sheets changed every day, walkable distance to the centre, nice view from the balcony, wi-fi, nice and helpful staff - no coffe/tea facility, fridge was smelly, no chairs in the balcony, had to hold the shower with one hand.

Tour of mainland Greece
Started our tour of mainland Greece by flying into Thessolonki. Hotel was easy to find and we'll situated to enable us to walk to most of the local sightseeing highlights. Staff were very helpful during our stay.
