"I was allocated room 17 on request for a quiet room away from traffic and noise as I was arriving late and had an early start the next day. I appreciated the room very much. I think it was larger than the category of room that I had booked."

"The room was really nice, looked as though it had been recently updated. I did notice in the shower there was dried up soap on the floor and wall which indicates it hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. There was also duct tape over the peephole behind the door, not sure if intentional or left behind from previous guest. The table in the room needs to be replaced, it is badly stained and has pieces of the coating missing."

"From the warm and friendly welcome to the great food in the bistro and spacious comfortable rooms there was nothing I could fault with The Coniston Hotel. The locals are friendly, the specials are generous and the cold beer was great value. Close to the train station and ample parking on-site. A little more pricey than some others I’ve stayed at but worth every penny."
