"The property was beautiful and basically in the middle of the woods so dead easy for dog walking - also and outside hose which was really handy considering how muddy it was! It was freezing when we arrived but the heating, once I figured it out was effective. Unfortunately there were no logs or kindling for the fire which would have been beautiful. Also, the cues for the pool table were broken but we managed to partially fix one and had a few games with a beer or two - an added bonus! These are...

The building has that old, coastal charm, an interesting history and a great location near the Red Funnel ferry. Enjoyed walking the city and taking the chain ferry to Osbourne House and the Needles. "We had a wonderful stay at Stanwell House Hotel. The staff are excellent, every member of the team was incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in Room 32, which was perfectly cosy with a very comfortable bed and offered lovely views. The breakfast was great—high quality and plenty of choice. My only minor note is that drinks can be quite expensive at the bar. Highly recommended for a boutique stay in Lymington!"
