"Clean rooms, good tv stations, close drive to everything you’d need. Staff was nice and seriously for 98$ this was more than wonderful. Pool is small but it’s clean and you get towels at the front desk. Good place to spend the night! "

Backyard is absolutely beautiful- the view is excellent but the functionality takes the cake, coffee on the porch, drinks by the fire pit, grill area is superb!! Comfort of the house was amazing as well - very well stocked and layout was perfect."

"Great property. Access to water easy to get to xompared to some properties in the area. Communication with owners was timely and easy as they live adjacent to place. Plenty of space for our party of 6 plus 2 dogs. We loved that they were pet friendly. Beds are too hard for my liking. Very clean. Kitchen had great cooking essentials. Fire pit and grill was wonderful. "

"We rented for a celebration after Purdue graduation. The 8 of us (parents and young adults) used all the indoor and outdoor space. It was delightful, and I have never experienced a VRBO that was this well appointed. The beds and extra pillow really spoiled us. It had everything we needed and more. Monticello lost power on our first night, and the owner brought more candles and alerted us to the mini-lanterns ... it was like camping! SO FUN! We really appreciated the extra attention, the second fridge, and extra cooler. Our group enjoyed the tiered decks, really comfy furniture and waving to the boat neighbors. We are in good shape for all the steps!Thank you, Kelly and Ryan!"

"We checked in the night before our so. Graduated from Purdue. We chose Monticello because it was about 1/2 the price as the Lafayette hotels for graduation. It was a 35 minute drive to the school through rural country roads. A peaceful commute. Upon checking in Gina who was working the front desk realized I had booked the wrong room for our family and she worked her magic and got us into a more appropriate room. The gym was open which my kids said was more than adequate for a hotel, The basketball and volleyball courts were under construction as was the swimming pool so that was a little disappointing, but I don't think we would've had time for them anyways. Gina recommended Sportman's Inn to have a nice waterfront dinner and although the food and service was okay the setting and atmosphere on the patio overlooking the lake made up for it. The staff we met were friendly and helpful! We don't usually stay at Best Westerns as we are a pretty bougie family but I'd definitely stay here again. The hotel smelled fresh and clean and the room reflected that. Beds were better than so many we've stayed in. Towels probably need replacing but they were clean and smelled fresh not stale which is the case in so many rural hotels. Overall we were more than pleased and surprised! We left happy travelers. I cannot comment on the breakfast as we didn't eat it. "
