Norfolk Hotel

"The Norfolk Hotel is a brilliant option for accommodation in the heart of Fremantle. As a solo, female traveler in town at short notice for a funeral, the convenience, simplicity, affordability and good vibes of the establishment smoothed my trip. Staff are friendly and attentive, with the manager carrying my bag to the room (there is a flight of stairs which may trouble some). A shared bathroom may deter some, but in truth it was cleaner, emptier and closer to my bedroom than at home! Staying on a weekend, there was noise from the pub and club downstairs. Personally, I loved this atmosphere and enjoyed being able to pop down for a drink (first one complimentary) and a chat with the locals. The Norfolk has a great DJ and serves phenomenal food."

"Excellent location in the heart of Fremantle. A real bonus was the offstreet secure parking. The hotel itself is nice and the staff were friendly. The room is small as to be expected based on the shipping container size however it was it was comfortable and had a good shower. The only downside was the air-conditioning was not efficient and the room a bit stuffy something to do with the settings that the Hotel has for winter and summer we spoke with other guests who made the same comments other than that it was a really good stay."

"The property was advertised with parking but when we arrived it was later discovered that the parking was metered across the road. The Internet was appalling and streaming Netflix was impossible. Disappointed there was no internet booster or similar to ensure wifi was available."

"The property was clean and tidy and the kitchen was well equipped. I was unable to find anything to sweep the floors with and the stick vacuum cleaner could not be charged to any strength enough to use.Beach is across the road through the tunnel in a fabulous historic part of town. We visited the roundhouse at 1pm to witness the cannon being fired, which was very interesting.The rail line runs directly in front of the property and trains start running around 5am, so not conducive to a relaxing sleep in.Overall a great location."
